Carlee and Doug’s wedding was held at The Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa on a breezy, but beautiful day last October.  The hired wedding coordinator Jennifer Molloy, from Amore Events, DJ Mike Hogan, with Entertainment at Large and Magnolia Flower Shoppe for the florals.  As with so many of the weddings I get to shoot, this couple had a lot of fun and incorporated some great details.  My favorite element was the Gosser beer – perfectly representative of my clients – it’s their last name!

Courtney and Chris had a lot of fun during their wedding.  Incorporating fun elements that represented their true character really added to the event!  (Check out the scuba shots below.)  This wedding was at the Rancho Bernardo Inn.  The RB Inn is such a versatile property and I love taking advantage of the gorgeous trees outside.  Their wedding coordinator:  a friend, and past wedding client of mine, Chelsea Sokyrka.

This past wedding season was such a blast!  I got to shoot so many fantastic weddings – I have TONS of great images to share.  Let’s pick back up with the shots from Carrie and Mike’s wedding.

They were married at Humphrey’s by the Bay.  The unusual and striking floral arrangements were designed by Lois Mathews.  Mike Hogan of Entertainment at Large handled the music.  And Ann Strobel with Ann’s Plans was their coordinator extraordinaire!

Tune in this Saturday morning to see Brant on the television show Get Married!  The show airs Saturday, January 16th on the WEtv channel at 9:30am.  Brant was thrilled when asked to be interviewed for the show.  He had a great time filming the segment and this will be a fun way for many of you learn a little more about his personality and approach to his profession.  Please tune in!

This year I am kicking off my holidays by sponsoring Carols by Candlelight.   Nothing feels better, especially during this time of year, than giving back.   This is a wonderful event that raises funds for Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego.  Some fantastic artists will be performing; LeAnn Rimes, Bucky Covington, Little River Band, Jordan Pruitt, Buck Howdy, and the Beat Boys.  The performances are this Friday 12/11 and Saturday 12/12 at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido.  I hope you will consider joining me.  What a great way to celebrate the season!

I love working downtown!  Jennifer and Chris held their wedding and reception at one of my favorite contemporary locations, the Hard Rock Hotel.  Jessica from Events by Design coordinated the event.  She brought together an amazing team of vendors and together they created a wedding to remember.  Here is a list of some of the key players:

- Spencer Bezy from Mobile Music Plus brought in their Video DJ service – not only music but graphics and video too

- Party Donuts were there and the guests couldn’t get enough of these tasty treats!

- PhotoBoof added a lot of fun for the guests and all the pictures will be a keepsake with lots of character for Jennifer and Chris

- Kathy Wright & Company added the finishing touches with her sensational floral arrangements

Regina and Eric came all the way from Chicago to hold their wedding in San Diego.  Sharon, from A Dream Wedding by Sharon Cole,  helped them pull together this beautiful destination wedding, steeped in tradition and heritage.  The ceremony was held at the Grande Colonial La Jolla followed by the reception at The Steakhouse at Azul.  This group took full advantage of the music set up by Dominic from Sunset Mobile Music.  It was an evening filled with lots of dancing and lots of fun!

September, October and November have been super busy months for me.  I am thrilled for all the work but my blog posts have suffered for it.  For those of you that regularly follow my blog, I extend my apologies.  Over the next week or so I plan to get back on track and share with you some fantastic images from my late summer weddings.  What an amazing wedding season it has been!

Let’s start with Tiffany & Brett’s wedding.  They first met at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, therefore it was the ideal location to start their married life together.  My studio manager noticed how unusual their cake was – she commented on how pretty the simplicity of the design was and how appropriate for a late summer wedding.  I agree!

Sharon Cole, of A Dream Wedding By Sharon Cole, worked together with Chelsea to design a wedding that was rich in color and classic in design.  Chelsea got a chance to put her industry knowledge to work and everything came together beautifully.  For their wedding, Chelsea and Ryan selected Balboa Park, which as many of you may know, is one of my favorite destinations.  Adding to the regal feel of the event were the impressive floral arrangements designed by  Paula Anderson from Rae Florae.  The DJ, Hit It Music, really topped off the event injecting lots of energy!  It was a success and fun to watch.

The Darlington House is an incredibly elegant setting for a wedding and Caroline and Tim looked perfectly at home there.  They are both outgoing and had a lot of fun with their wedding day.  Notably, I had a blast catching the “run away” antics of the groom! (see the second image below)  Laura with Unforgettable Event coordinated this wedding and it was a pleasure to work with her again.  It was a great night filled with music by Haute Chili and we couldn’t have asked for better weather!
