Hazel and Mike’s wedding took me to St. Margaret Parish and the San Diego Marriott Del Mar. St. Margaret Parish has a striking spare quality about it, evoking the feeling of an historical chapel although it is very newly built. It offered a nicely balanced background to the formal elements Hazel and Mike incorporated into their ceremony. And the majestic wood doors were a lot of fun to take pictures in front of.
Between the full dress Marine Corps uniforms, her bead encrusted gown and the extravagant traditional performers – Hazel and Mike’s wedding seemed like a true a fairy tale.

Hopefully in my images you can see the fun I have with my work and the true enjoyment I reap from it. But I thought it would be extra fun to show you how some of the magic comes together.
Recently I had the opportunity for an amateur photographer to shadow my work. She is a former wedding client of mine and it is quite a compliment that she wants to learn from me! (In addition, our subjects this day were her sister and future brother in law. I have really enjoyed working with this family and am incredibly flattered that they have asked for my work again.)
She captured this picture of me in my true form! What a great result I got from getting a little wet!

For Erica and Mark’s engagement I got to do another fabulous beach shoot back at La Jolla Cove. The lighting that afternoon was terrific. The sun was setting and a fabulous warm glow cast over everything. The beach looks completely different as the light moves over it throughout the day. It makes it an infinite challenge and pleasure to work there.
Erica and Mark’s wedding is coming up in May. Of course you will see more images of this smiling pair then! Keep checking back.
