It is a lot of fun to see a couple inject their personalities into their wedding day. In the case of Allison and Quinn, they didn’t hold back! With help from Sharon, with A Dream Wedding by Sharon Cole, it was truly an affair to remember, from the bride’s striking blue shoes to the chemistry themed reception, including lab scientists and bubbling beakers of cocktails! The wedding was held at a private residence in Pt. Loma and it was the ideal setting for this very intimate and distinct event.

This was my first visit to The Crossings at Carlsbad and let me tell you, I was impressed. What a gorgeous site! It was a photographer’s dream with endless backdrops between gorgeous stone walls, fields of long grasses, waterfalls, and striking architecture. The staff really went out of their way to accommodate Robyn and Jeff and their assistance certainly helped us maximize the potential of the site. Also, this couple made smart choices, selecting classic colors and flowers which didn’t compete with the elegance of the location. All the elements came together beautifully for this photogenic couple!

Diedra and Ryan’s wedding took me up the road to beautiful Dana Point. They held their ceremony at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church and their reception, just around the corner, at the Ocean Institute. I have never been to the Ocean Institute before and I must say it is a notable location. The views of the Pacific are spectacular and the architecture of the facility was open and modern. We were also able to capture some fantastic images by taking advantage of the jetties, nearby in the harbor. The entire area offered a terrific backdrop to their romantic day and it was a lot of fun to explore!

Jennifer and Craig had a beautiful wedding day filled with energy! Their bridal party was a lot of fun and the guests really turned it up a notch at the reception. Speaking of which, they hosted their reception at the Hard Rock Hotel in the Gaslamp District. The reception was held on the terrace overlooking the convention center and the Harbor. It was a terrific setting with awesome views and a nice contradiction to the more traditional setting of their ceremony at The Immaculata Parish on USD.

Hong Hyun and Darwin held a beautiful and intimate wedding at the Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club. Southern California delivered another glorious day and we were able to take full advantage of the grounds around the Club.
Something unique about this wedding; the couple incorporated an interesting variation on the traditional wedding setting; they held their ceremony in the same space as their reception. The guests sat comfortably at their assigned tables for the ceremony and the transition from ceremony to celebration was seamless. It really worked nicely for this small affair.
