About Brant
Thank you for taking an interest in my work!
As is evident, I love to take photographs. I always have. In fact, my professional career started while I was in high school. At the age of 16 I started working for the Pomerado News Group, focusing on sports and community news. I continued working while in college freelancing for United Press International (UPI). My photojournalism work has been published in USA Today, The San Diego Union-Tribune, and The Houston Chronicle, to name a few. I enjoyed those early years covering news events but always dreamt of owning my own photography business.
In 1999 I began Phoenix Photography and focused my efforts exclusively toward wedding photography. Running that business for 9 years was fantastic and an incredible learning experience. In addition to working with amazing couples and highly talented industry professionals, I developed my photographic abilities to a whole new level. As I have moved forward and become more comfortable with the work I’ve put out, I decided it was time to leave Phoenix Photography behind. In July 2008 I launched Brant Bender Photography, a new business that better reflects the kind of work I deliver today.
I am no longer hiding behind a name. Brant Bender Photography is the culmination of all that I have learned in the wedding industry over the last decade. My website, www.BrantBender.com, illustrates much of my wedding photography. And, as you browse through the entries in my blog you will see images from my most recent work. I will also share details about each of the events I have photographed; what made each successful and distinctive.
Choosing a photographer can be challenging… planning an entire wedding can be overwhelming. Working in the heart of the wedding industry for the last 10 years has given me the unique advantage of seeing what is new, what is great and what really works. I will share my observations here and invite other industry professionals to contribute their knowledge. The resources in my blog may help others simplify the process and design the wedding of their dreams.
I am grateful for a fulfilling career and am continuously excited about what lies ahead. I appreciate your support and interest. Keep checking back!
